Food Operations Manager (Seasonal)
About the Position
We are a seasonal business. We are a fall festival/Pumpkin Patch. We are open September- November. We have 8 food locations on our farm. We are seeking an experienced Food Manager to oversee operations, including 4 large kitchens and 4 smaller food outlets. The ideal candidate will have excellent organizational skills, leadership experience, and a passion for food service management.
Key Responsibilities
- Staff Management: Oversee all kitchen and food service staff across 8 locations
- Create and manage staff schedules
- Train, develop, and evaluate team members
- Foster a positive and efficient work environment
- Inventory Control:
- Monitor and restock inventory across all locations
- Coordinate with vendors and suppliers
- Process and help prepare food orders
- Implement efficient inventory systems
- Waste Management:
- Maintain daily food waste documentation
- Analyze waste patterns and implement reduction strategies
- Train staff on proper food handling and storage to minimize waste
- Seasonal Preparation:
- Lead pre-season kitchen cleaning and organization
- Ensure all equipment is in proper working order
- Coordinate facility readiness before operational seasons
Qualifications
- 3 years of experience in food service management
- Proven leadership and team management skills
- Strong organizational and multi-tasking abilities
- Experience with inventory management and cost control
- Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
Job Types: Part-time, Seasonal
Pay: $20.00 - $30.00 per hour
Expected hours: 20 – 45 per week
