Food Operations Manager (Seasonal)

About the Position

We are a seasonal business. We are a fall festival/Pumpkin Patch. We are open September- November. We have 8 food locations on our farm. We are seeking an experienced Food Manager to oversee operations, including 4 large kitchens and 4 smaller food outlets. The ideal candidate will have excellent organizational skills, leadership experience, and a passion for food service management.

Key Responsibilities

  • Staff Management: Oversee all kitchen and food service staff across 8 locations
  • Create and manage staff schedules
  • Train, develop, and evaluate team members
  • Foster a positive and efficient work environment
  • Inventory Control:
  • Monitor and restock inventory across all locations
  • Coordinate with vendors and suppliers
  • Process and help prepare food orders
  • Implement efficient inventory systems
  • Waste Management:
  • Maintain daily food waste documentation
  • Analyze waste patterns and implement reduction strategies
  • Train staff on proper food handling and storage to minimize waste
  • Seasonal Preparation:
  • Lead pre-season kitchen cleaning and organization
  • Ensure all equipment is in proper working order
  • Coordinate facility readiness before operational seasons

Qualifications

  • 3 years of experience in food service management
  • Proven leadership and team management skills
  • Strong organizational and multi-tasking abilities
  • Experience with inventory management and cost control
  • Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills

Job Types: Part-time, Seasonal

Pay: $20.00 - $30.00 per hour

Expected hours: 20 – 45 per week
