Overview
CAES by Honeywell Mission Systems is seeking a Materials Handler. In this role, you will be a key team member responsible for supporting stockroom materials requests by withdrawing required parts from inventory, bagging, tagging, issuing to kits and routing them to the appropriate work centers and/or departments. This role is critical to supporting the production floor with the materials they need to ensure assemblies can be made and delivered to production plans.

Minimum:
Compensation Range: Materials Handler I: $15.68/hr. - $21.97/hr.; Materials Handler II: $17.64/hr. - $21.97/hr. Applicable pay within the posted range may vary based on factors including, but not limited to, geographical location, job function of the position, education, and preferred experience of the successful candidate.

Overview
CAES by Honeywell Mission Systems is seeking a Materials Handler. In this role, you will be a key team member responsible for supporting stockroom materials requests by withdrawing required parts from inventory, bagging, tagging, issuing to kits and routing them to the appropriate work centers and/or departments. This role is critical to supporting the production floor with the materials they need to ensure assemblies can be made and delivered to production plans.
Responsibilities
- Performs daily functions related to sorting, counting, packaging, and labeling of materials per requirements
- Support stockroom materials request by withdrawing required parts from inventory, bagging, tagging, and issuing to kits and/or engineering
- Route and deliver kits and or part requests to appropriate work centers and/or departments
- Analyze inventory conditions in support of related materials functions. Notify supervisor of any damages. Performs daily cycle counts; updates computer system to track transactions; performs data entry; Performs additional projects to meet production schedules.
- Track shelf life and report into planning, write any material requisitions required
- Remove expired material from the floor
- Participate in safety training and actively comply with safety policies and practices Improve and maintain 5S in your area; make suggestions for improvements
- Participate in Lean/Six Sigma activities in own work area as well as events for other areas to enhance cross-functional problem solving
- Collaborate in team meetings and activities
Minimum:
- High School Diploma/GED and 0-2 years' relevant experience in a manufacturing environment
- This position requires access to technology, materials, software or hardware that is controlled by US export laws. In order to be eligible for this position, you must be a “US Person” under US export laws (or eligible for approval under a U.S. Government export license).
- High School Diploma/GED and 2-4 years' relevant experience in a manufacturing environment
- Material Handling experience in a manufacturing environment
- Strong organizational and time management skills
