As an Advanced Electrical Engineer here at Honeywell Aerospace, within the (EP&S) Engines & Power Systems group, you will contribute to the design of cutting-edge turbo machinery technologies The individual in this role will help expand our knowledge and capability of turbo machines and other aerospace hardware used for both military and civilian applications by overseeing development programs that involve testing and troubleshooting many aspects of Aerospace hardware.
- Designing Electrical solutions to unique problems, transforming concepts and ideas to AutoCAD Electrical drawings that will be fabricated into hardware
- Designing test cell control systems from concept, to drawings, to construction and commissioning.
- Utilizing AutoCAD Electrical software to create detailed drawings, using block diagrams, control interconnects, panel and enclosure layouts, cable and harness assemblies, and a bill of materials.
- Troubleshooting electrical issues or modifying facility screens to add capabilities or fix issues
- Responding quickly with quality solutions to support our customers
Due to compliance with U.S. export control laws and regulations, candidate must be a U.S. Person, which is defined as, a U.S. citizen, a U.S. permanent resident, or have protected status in the U.S. under asylum or refugee status.
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution in a technical discipline such as the sciences, technology, engineering or mathematics
- 5 years of related electrical engineering experience
- Must be a U.S. Citizen due to contractual requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering
- Experience using AutoCAD Electrical, SolidWorks or other CAD applications to design various electrical hardware
- Experience operating standard test equipment: digital multimeters, oscilloscopes, and other electrical measurement tools
- Experience in testing environment overseeing testing of hardware
- Experience with PLC’s, including GE or Emerson PLC’s
- Experience with programing languages like Ladder Logic or NI LabVIEW
- A good grasp of electrical engineering concepts, principles, and practices
- Experience in solving technical problems utilizing analytical thinking
- Working knowledge of industry electrical standards (UL508A, NFPA79, IEC, NEC)
