Advanced Field Service Engineer - Aircraft Systems

As an Advanced Field Service Engineer, you will play a vital role in delivering technical solutions and ensuring a seamless customer experience. Serving as a trusted partner for our OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) Customer, you will resolve mechanical and electrical issues, build strong relationships, and contribute to organizational knowledge.

You will report directly to our Senior Supervisor and work onsite at our customer's manufacturing facility in Melbourne, FL.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Act as the primary point of contact for OEM customers regarding Honeywell mechanical and electrical product / system issues.
  • Troubleshoot, diagnose, and resolve complex technical problems with aircraft electrical and mechanical components and systems.
  • Respond to customer inquiries via phone, email, or onsite visits.
  • Support aircraft deliveries and provide feedback to enhance product performance and reliability.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to address customer needs and technical challenges.
  • Document technical resolutions to support knowledge-sharing initiatives.
  • Participate in technical expert teams and contribute to ongoing process improvements.
  • Represent Honeywell at customer meetings and maintain a positive company image.
  • Occasionally work off-hours, weekends, or holidays to meet critical customer needs.

YOU MUST HAVE

  • 10 years of experience troubleshooting avionics, electrical and mechanical systems on business, commercial, or military aircraft.
  • 5 years of experience in customer-facing roles, providing technical support.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • WE VALUE

  • A college degree in Electrical, Electronics or similar discipline.
  • Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) license or equivalent.
  • Experience working with airlines or aviation systems.
  • Strong analytical skills and the ability to adapt to changing circumstances.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams).
  • Familiarity with Salesforce.com (SFDC), NICE InContact, and Team Center.
  • Ability to work independently and remain composed under pressure.
  • Aerospace industry knowledge and business acumen.
