ABOUT THE ROLE
As an Advanced Mechanical Design Engineer here at Honeywell Aerospace Technologies, you will be a key contributor to the design, development, and sustainment of cutting-edge navigation and sensor solutions for a variety of applications. Your experience as a Mechanical Engineer will ensure the delivery of innovative and high-performance mechanical designs. You will report directly to our Mechanical Engineering Manager, and you will work out of our Minneapolis, MN location on a Hybrid (3 on-site) work schedule.
In this role, you will be critical in the mechanical design process, ensuring the delivery of high-quality and reliable navigation and sensor products. Your responsibilities will include the mechanical design and drafting of our navigation and sensor products using CREO Parametric and Teamcenter, including supporting talent development initiatives in those areas. You will also support supplier Design for Manufacturing (DFM) calls, Material Review Board (MRB) meetings, and other engineering activities as required.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
· Utilize CREO Parametric software for 3D modeling, design, and drafting of Printed Board Assemblies, mechanical enclosures, and assemblies.
· Support production and test to help resolve issues (e.g., MRB, RCCA, etc).
· Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define mechanical requirements and specifications.
· Design, develop, and analyze complex navigation and sensor components and assemblies.
· Stay updated with the latest industry trends and technologies in mechanical design, Printed Board Assembly design, and electronics packaging.
· Support the training and development of junior staff in the areas of CAD modeling and drawing standards, including the development of User Manuals and How-To guides.

The annual base salary range for this position is $86,000-$110,000 Please note that this
salary information serves as a general guideline. Honeywell considers various
factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to the scope and
responsibilities of the position, the candidate’s work experience, education
and training, key skills, as well as market and business considerations.
