This position is for the Advanced Software Engineer in the Commercial Navigation Software team reporting to the Senior Software Engineering Manager, Commercial Navigation Software.
Key Responsibilities
- Uses advanced knowledge of engineering discipline, processes, and tools in order to complete and ensure compliance of various project software subtasks
- Interacts with internal and external customers in order to facilitate the completion of software work products to meet customer specifications.
- Helps to develop and define engineering processes in the COE.
- Recognized as an emerging authority within the COE.
- Acts as a mentor to lower-level Engineers.
Skill Description
- Responsible for planning and executing project subtasks in order to meet customer specifications (designing, developing, testing, etc.) for a safety critical product.
- Assists in the completion of products to achieve certification and customer acceptance.
- May provide direction to other Engineers, Technicians and Associates to ensure project and product compliance.
- Conducts project status and process presentations for leadership and external customers.
- Interfaces with vendors and suppliers to ensure product and project compliance.
- Communicates any non-compliance and the results of any internal project audits to pertinent parties.
- Establishes and applies methodology to new concepts and recommends enhancements to advance projects and processes.
- Identifies and proposes technical improvements using engineering knowledge and principles.
- May assist in developing Aerospace Engineering processes and guidelines.

The annual base salary range for this position is $117,000 - $146,000. Please note that this salary information serves as a general guideline. Honeywell considers various factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to the scope and responsibilities of the position, the candidate's work experience, education and training. key skills, as well as market and business consideration.
