The Antenna Center of Excellence (COE) in Norcross, GA is part of the Honeywell Aerospace Technologies. We are expanding our presence in the exciting field of connected aircraft with RF communication technologies and building on our strong heritage for new defense applications. We are a diverse engineering organization with multiple disciplines including RF, antenna, embedded software, digital and analog electronics, mechanical, systems engineering and project management.
We are seeking a skilled and innovative Cloud Software Engineer to join our team in a collaborative environment. This role is pivotal in designing, implementing, and maintaining highly secure, cloud-native solutions that enable advanced capabilities in sensor ingestion, effector output, sensor fusion, data management, and automation. You will play a crucial role in delivering cutting-edge technologies that empower autonomous and connected aerospace systems while adhering to modern software engineering principles such as API-led development and zero-trust security.
Key
Responsibilities:
-Cloud-Native Development
-Design and develop robust, scalable cloud-based systems leveraging microservices architecture.
-Implement containerized applications using Docker and manage deployments with Kubernetes.
-Develop APIs for secure and efficient data exchange, ensuring integration with aerospace systems.
-Sensor and EGector Integration
-Build pipelines for sensor ingestion, processing high-frequency data streams in real time.
-Develop mechanisms for effector output, ensuring accurate and responsive command execution.
-Enable sensor fusion by combining multi-modal data streams for enhanced situational awareness and decision-making.
-Data Management and Access
-Architect and implement secure data management solutions using databases such as PostgreSQL and SQL Server.
-Optimize data pipelines for ingestion, storage, and retrieval with tools like TypeORM and Prisma.
-Ensure compliance with stringent data access and security requirements under a zero-trust architecture.
-Automation and Autonomy
-Develop systems enabling autonomous functionality, incorporating AI/ML models for decision-making and task execution.
-Implement automation pipelines for CI/CD processes, ensuring high availability and rapid feature deployment.
-Support autonomous operations through robust API-led development and real-time communication systems.
-Security and Compliance
-Implement zero-trust security principles, ensuring robust authentication and authorization using TLS, JWT, and Keycloak.
-Design and maintain secure communication channels and access points for mission-critical aerospace systems.
-Collaboration and Agile Practices
-Work closely with cross-functional teams, including systems engineers, data scientists, and cloud architects, to align on project goals.
-Follow Agile methodologies, participating in sprints and iterative development cycles.
