Honeywell is hiring a Manager, Corporate Reporting to manage corporate accounting function at our global headquarters. The Manager, Corporate Reporting should be capable of taking a leadership role on monthly accounting responsibilities, special projects and possess a positive attitude, proactive mindset and high attention to detail.
This role will have visibility to senior management and requires the ability to effectively collaborate both inside and outside the finance function in a fast-paced environment. You will be responsible for implementation and monitoring of internal controls and adherence to all local accounting policies. You will participate in accounting close and general ledger maintenance activities. You will drive continuous improvement, digitization and other improvement initiatives while continuing to deliver on time and accurate books of accounts.
This position will sit out of our Morris Plains, NJ office and operate on a hybrid schedule.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Ownership of monthly close activities, reporting and account analysis for the Corporate segment
- Financial reporting: Preparation of schedules used in the quarterly and annual financial statements and footnotes
- Technical accounting: Assist in implementation of new procedures and systems in response to new US GAAP pronouncements and corporate policy changes
- Audit and Controls: Respond to audit requests and inquiries supporting quarterly and annual financial statements as well as SOX and compliance testing
- Business partnership: Respond to financial data and accounting treatment requests from corporate functions, strategic business group (SBG) and regional centers.
- Special projects: Manage projects such as support of acquisition or divestiture transactions and finance functional transformation
In October, 2024 Honeywell announced the spin-off of our Advanced Materials business to become a stand-alone publicly traded company, independent of Honeywell. Our intention is that this role, dedicated to the Advanced Materials business, will be a part of this future transaction when the separation occurs.
