Create efficient and effective material handling systems that meet the unique needs of our customers.
In this role, you will use your expertise in conveyor fundamentals to design innovative solutions for warehouse automation challenges. You will work closely with sales teams and customers to understand project requirements and develop mechanical designs for new conveyor systems and modifications to existing systems.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Translating customer needs into usable design requirements
- Designing systems utilizing Honeywell standard offerings and outside purchased products
- Balancing design optimization with customer budgetary constraints
- Ensuring cost and schedule estimates are consistent with historical company performance
- Assisting in writing proposals that are both technically correct and easily readable by customers
- Supporting sales in customer meetings throughout the proposal cycle
As a skilled designer, you will take ownership of your designs throughout the pre-sale process, coordinating cross-functional teams through cost estimating, proposal document creation, and leadership approvals.
