As a Principal Project Engineer in the Heat Transfer organization, you will lead and manage large, complex engineering projects. You will coordinate and communicate with cross-functional teams to ensure effective collaboration and project coordination. Your ability to define project scope, objectives, and deliverables in collaboration with cross-functional teams will help align projects with business goals and customer requirements. By developing and implementing project plans, including timelines, budgets, and resource allocation, you will ensure efficient project execution and delivery. Monitoring project progress and ensuring adherence to timelines and budgets will help maintain project efficiency and cost-effectiveness. In this role, you will impact the successful execution and delivery of engineering projects, driving operational excellence, and fostering a culture of continuous improvement and innovation.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage complex engineering projects to ensure successful execution and delivery, while ensuring alignment with business objectives and Honeywell Aerospace standards
- Define and manage project scope, objectives, schedules and deliverables, budgets and resource allocation in collaboration with cross-functional teams and stakeholders
- Monitor project progress and ensure compliance to schedules, budgets and processes
- Identify and mitigate project risks, implement corrective actions as needed
- Coordinate and communicate with stakeholders to provide project updates and address concerns
- Provide technical expertise and leadership to project team to help resolve complex challenges
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance project management processes and practices
- Champion for continuous Project Engineering skill development
- Mentor and guide junior project engineers to support building a high-performing team
- Facilitate various teams to solutions and agreements
- The design, development and qualification of heat exchangers which meet customer and internal requirements
- Implementing development and qualification test objectives, writing test procedures, and overseeing the preparation of test units and the conduct of tests
- Lead preparation of Technical Position Papers to support In-Service Resolution Board (IRB) regarding field issues and quality escapes.
- Lead proposal and new business development efforts.
