About the Role
Honeywell, a leader in innovative technology and automation, is seeking an experienced Chemical Process Engineer II to join our team. As a key member of our UOP company, you will be responsible for leading site HSE and Process Safety Management programs, identifying and monitoring Key Process Indicators, and developing productivity projects to improve safety, quality, production, and cost performance.
You will work closely with management and front-line workers to deliver plant safety and production objectives, mentor and train operations staff, and provide accurate forecasts to Plant Finance. Your expertise in various types of unit operations, including reactions, distillation, absorption, and handling of hazardous materials, will be invaluable to our team.
Responsibilities
- Participate in site HSE and Process Safety Management programs, including Management of Change, Process Hazard Analysis, Root Cause Analysis/Incident Investigations, and development of Standard Operating Procedures
- Identify and monitor Key Process Indicators to sustain optimal plant operations and deliver on production, yield, and cost targets
- Develop and execute productivity projects to improve baseline safety, quality, production, and cost performance
- Bridge multiple layers of organization between management and front-line workers to deliver plant safety and production objectives
- Mentor and train operations staff on unit design and intended/optimal operation
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering discipline
- 5 years PSM experience
- 5 years' experience in chemical industry manufacturing, operations, or engineering roles
- Certification in Six Sigma or Lean Methodologies
- Familiarity with HS&E regulations and life critical safety tools such as Lock-out/Tag-out, Line Break, and Hot Work permits and procedures
- Able to work safely among highly hazardous materials and wear all required PPE
