We're looking for a Senior Human Factors Systems Engineer to join our Human Factors Center of Excellence and lead the charge in developing intuitive, safe, and user-centered systems across our broad aviation portfolio spanning Air Transport, Regional, Business, General Aviation, and Defense & Space segments.

In this high-impact role, you’ll own the full systems lifecycle, from business development and requirements definition to system design, certification, sustainment, and eventual product retirement. You will set the benchmark for Human Factors integration, ensuring that Honeywell’s solutions are easier to design, certify, install, operate, maintain, and upgrade, all while prioritizing the safety of pilots and crews.
The candidate will have broad experience with product development, services development, and in-service activities. Expertise in project planning and project execution is also highly recommended for this position. The ideal candidate will be highly self-motivated, have strong networking capabilities, and able to lead by action in order to improve the global Human Factors capabilities across aerospace.

KEY RESPONSIBITLIES:
•Providing technical expertise as a team leader or member on a variety of projects and programs. Use expert knowledge of Human Factors engineering discipline and Honeywell/Industry standards, processes and tools in order to complete and ensure compliance of various projects.
•Supporting strategic planning and advanced technology efforts related to Human Factors
•Contact with external customers for overall product status, standards, etc. Candidate will be a key focal in development of new business opportunities and product lines.
•Mentoring junior Engineers.
•Developing a strong understanding of the operational environment for assigned Human Factors projects.
•Coordinating and presenting regulatory subject matter as an expert to help lead challenging certification approaches.
•Leading end user acceptance evaluations for associated design implementations, to include coordination with various Systems Engineering and Applications (ESEA) teams, Centers of Excellence (COE) product teams and Test subjects (e.g. pilots, maintenance personnel).
•Reviewing and approving Advanced Technology assessments to assist and ensure the smooth transition of prototype designs (pre-TRL6) into product COEs.
•Leading the development of human factors design guidelines and standard work across Honeywell Aerospace.
•Leading multiple projects across an entire project lifecycle
•Assisting in building a global Human Factors workforce.
•Developing and supporting business development activities, to include creation and review of quotation estimates (QE) for programs
•Managing and coordinating common Human Factors engineering efforts across multiple programs.
•Understanding/help export classification
