This Senior Program Manager (PM) position is integral to the CORE Program's Navigation and Sensors Portfolio with programmatic responsibility to plan, develop, integrate, test, and certify products for future integration on platforms.
This position is responsible for performing program management activities associated with commercial and military guidance and navigation product development. The product areas include a wide variety of navigation systems including Inertial Measurement Units, attitude heading reference systems, inertial navigation systems, GPS aided inertial navigation systems, and GPS precision landing systems.
The PM effects such program deliverables in close coordination with Engineering, Product Management, and other cross-functional contributors, while ensuring program objectives, scope, schedule, and investment baselines are maintained-per-plan.
The successful applicant reports to the CORE Programs Navigation Director and direct charges the program(s) he / she manages. Preferred location is Clearwater, FL.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
• Oversee and manage the execution of complex programs and projects
• Develop and implement program management strategies and best practices
• Work with cross-functional teams to ensure program success
• Monitor and control program budgets, schedules, and resources
• Identify and mitigate program risks and issues
• Analyze program performance metrics and provide insights and recommendations
· Ensure compliance with program management standards and processes
· Manages matrixed program team(s) to achieve business objectives of the Aero CORE Navigation group.
- Ability to communicate complex program management and financial issues to all levels, effectively linking program performance with financial results and product line strategies.
- Execute on scope, schedule, cost, delivery, and quality while demonstrating program management skill
- Direct the work and approve resource requirements and program estimates while leading integrated program teams through the Integrated Product Delivery & Support (IPDS) Process.
- Generate and implement program plans and business requirements within approved budget and schedule constraints.
- Coordinate with various Customer Business Teams (CBTs) to ensure their application programs are supported in terms of technical performance, schedule, and cost requirements
- Employ PM tools and development processes, including statement-of-work (SOW), work-breakdown- structure (WBS), basis-of-estimate (BOE) management, scope / requirements management, scheduling, and cost management in accordance with all Aerospace Procedures (AP) and Aerospace Guidance (AG)
- Establish and own a programmatic Management Operating System (MOS)
- Direct domestic and/or global Program Control (PC) team member(s)
