In this role, you will use your expertise to design efficient systems that meet the needs of our customers' material handling projects. You will work closely with sales and customers to understand project requirements, then develop mechanical designs for both new conveyor systems and modifications to existing systems. Throughout the pre-sale process, you will take ownership of your design, coordinating a cross-functional team through cost estimating, proposal document creation, and leadership approvals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Translate customer needs into actionable design requirements
- Design systems utilizing Honeywell standard offerings and external products
- Balance design optimization with customer budgetary constraints
- Ensure cost and schedule estimates align with historical company performance
- Assist in crafting proposals that are both technically accurate and easily readable by customers
- Support Sales in customer meetings throughout the proposal cycle
Desirable Skills:
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution in a technical discipline such as the sciences, technology, engineering, or mathematics
- 8 years of relevant experience in the material handling industry
- Conveyor Systems experience (e.g., Case Conveyor, Pallet Conveyor, Bulk Flow Conveyor, ASRS, Robotics)
- Proficiency in AutoCAD
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office
