What are the responsibilities and job description for the Sr. Field Service Inspector position at honeywell?
As a Sr. Field Service Inspector here at Honeywell, you will have the opportunity to travel extensively and provide field inspection services to our customers. You will report directly to our Field Service Manager, and you’ll work out of various locations across the globe on a 100% travel schedule. In this role, you will impact the reliability and performance of our equipment and systems by conducting thorough inspections, identifying potential issues, and recommending appropriate solutions. Your work will directly contribute to the safety, efficiency, and sustainability of our customers' operations.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Visiting customer refineries, chemical plants or fabrication shops for assessment of mechanical integrity
- Verifying conformance to Honeywell UOP, customer and code specifications
- Physical inspection involving climbing, crawling, and walking on pressure vessels, storage tanks, and piping
- Assessing equipment condition during plant turnarounds
- Issuing repair recommendations and verifying completion of repairs - Forecasting future repairs or replacement of equipment
- Shop inspections during fabrication stages to ensure compliance to UOP Standard Specifications, customer requirements, and engineering specifications
- Writing reports using UOP's computer generated forms on a supplied laptop computer
- Presenting results to customers at meetings
- Continuous LMS training regarding all UOP Technologies
- Continuous HSE/Safety training, renewed as required
- Attend quarterly Honeywell UOP Group meetings where we discuss Safety/HSE, Technical topics and findings from current Inspection activities
This position requires extensive travel that include locations throughout the world. Assignments generally last from 1-6 weeks, with no return home during that time normally available. Work hours during an assignment are typically six days per week, 10 hours per day, but can be 12-hour days, seven days a week. Night shifts and holiday coverage are also a possibility.
The annual base salary range for this position in California and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, Connecticut, and Hawaii is $104,000 - $120,000. For Washington and most major metropolitan areas in New York & California, the annual base salary range is $104,000 - $127,000. Please note that this salary information serves as a general guideline.
