As a Sr. Field Service Technician here at Honeywell, you will have the opportunity to provide advanced technical support and expertise to our customers in the Industrial Automation (IA) business unit. You will be responsible for troubleshooting and resolving complex technical issues, ensuring the successful implementation of our solutions, and driving customer satisfaction. You will report directly to our Field Service Engineering Manager and you'll work out of our Lacey, WA location. In this role, you will impact the efficiency, productivity, and safety of our customers' operations by providing exceptional technical support and service.
Days/Shift: Employees will work Night Shift (7pm to 7:30am) on a 3/4 schedule. Will Work 3 days on 4 days off then 4 days on 3 days off and every other Saturday.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues for customers.
• Provide expert-level technical support for our Industrial Automation (IA) solutions.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure smooth implementation of solutions.
• Lead training sessions for customers and field service technicians.
• Stay informed about industry trends and advancements, offering suggestions for improvements.
• Have hands-on experience with PLC systems, sensors, motors, inverters, control panels, hydraulics, pneumatics, and gearboxes.
• Conduct both preventive and reactive maintenance tasks.
• Use CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System) to report work orders and provide breakdown data.
• Perform maintenance and troubleshooting for all electrical and mechanical aspects of Material Handling Equipment (MHE), such as conveyor systems, sortation systems, robotics, and Automated Storage and Retrieval Systems (ASRS).
• Adjust and maintain scanners, cameras, field buses, and printer applicators.
• Reset, repair, or replace adjustable parts (belts, chains, cables) and wear components (guides, bearings, wheels, rollers, pulleys).
• Clean, lubricate, and calibrate equipment as required.
• Follow job plans, procedures, and manuals for efficient service.
• Maintain and troubleshoot a range of components, including motors, photo eyes, relays, proximity sensors, solenoids, motor starters, tachometers, and encoders.
• Assist with basic troubleshooting of electronics and Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs).
• Perform maintenance and troubleshoot all types of industrial robots.
• Utilize mobile devices and asset management systems to create and close work orders, logging relevant data (labor hours, downtime, causes, solutions, and parts used).
• Follow safety protocols (Lock Out/Tag Out, Arc Flash, etc.), wear appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), and ensure a safe working environment.
• Adhere to company standards, operating procedures, and safety regulations.
The annual base salary range for this position is $58,000 - $72,400. Please note that this salary information serves as a general guideline.
