We are hiring an Application Engineer II to support BMS/HVAC engineering portfolio Americas South Region.
This position is responsible for the designing and programming of BMS Systems using company tools and operating protocols.
In addition, you will participate in cross-functional support to sale/estimation, projects/install PMs, service PMs, and high-level commissioning support to technicians.
Job Description:
· Design building control systems including DDC controller system by selecting the proper combination of hardware, software, equipment, materials, and services from the Honeywell product & applications portfolio that will deliver the highest value to the customer while supporting overall Honeywell business objectives.
· Ability to engineer hardware control drawings, controller programming as per the contract sequences, development, and deployment of the graphics, furnish as-built, sequences, valve sizing, control device selection, damper sizing and schedules.
· Ability to integrate universal protocols from various systems – BACNet, Modbus, Ethernet/IP, and more.
· Ability to professionally communicate, in writing and verbally, to cross-functional teams, internal customers, and external customers.
The communication may include explaining the technical concepts, solutions, leading the site walks, identify opportunities, risks, escalations, and resources required to achieve results within the proposal cycle.
· Review job contract plans, scope and specifications, survey information, sales sketch, estimates and take-off sheets for opportunities and proposals. Clearly define requirements prior to starting engineering.
· Support Sales and Project Manager on site surveys, application selection, layout a roadmap of potential retrofit opportunities, and assessing customers' business objectives and strategies.
· Turn technical features and functions into a professional proposal and demonstrate business benefits. Create accurate and complete estimates.
Proposals include technical scope, commercial estimates, deliverables, schedules. terms-and-conditions, and more to meet customer requests and expectations.
· Effectively communicate compelling features and benefits of the solutions and services to sales team and customers.
· Must have the ability to multitask, prioritize, and produce desired results in a deadline driven environment.
· Work effectively and efficiently in a team environment. Work with sales, project operations team, field technicians, remote engineering teams, and field engineers as needed to improve efficiency and quick turnarounds with high quality deliverables.
