Honeywell Federal Manufacturing & Technologies (FM&T) manages and operates facilities for the U.S. Department of Energy/National Nuclear Security Administration’s (NNSA), in Albuquerque, NM as well as the Kansas City National Security Campus. Summary of Duties:
- Performs all procurement activities and administers purchase orders in conformance with the FM&T's purchasing procedures and policies
- Responsible for analyzing requirements that may be sole or single-source items, designed, manufactured, or specified exclusively for the Federal Manufacturing & Technology (FM&T)
- Negotiates settlements on rejected material and claims resulting from purchase order changes or terminations
- Plans, schedules, and reschedules orders utilizing ERP planning recommendations
- Approves supplier invoices for payment
- Initiates and coordinates discussions or meetings between suppliers and FM&T departments to resolve procurement-related problems
- Analyzes pricing, production, and inventory trends to assure competent supply sources and economical procurement, conducts market surveys to identify new sources of supply
- Analyzes need and prepares requests for advance procurement authorizations
- Prepares reports as requested by supervision or as required by producers
- Provides guidance and necessary training to lower classifications in purchasing techniques
- May serve as a full-time member of respective purchased product teams and be involved with the development and implementation of strategic supplier management concepts, including process characterization and control, development of supplier partnerships, and total quality management
- Travels as necessary
- May perform other duties as required
- Conducts activities in a safe and healthy manner and works in accordance with established HS&E requirements to ensure the protection of employees, the public, and the environment. Takes actions necessary to ""stop"" work when an unsafe condition or action is identified.
