Honeywell Process Solutions is looking for Director of Engineering to lead it's Electronic Engineering Center of Excellence. This position will focus on New Product Development, from concept to launch, for all electronic hardware products. Key Responsibilities
· Organize and lead global Honeywell Process Solutions Center of Excellence (electronic, mechanical, and certifications)
· Oversee critical new product development activities and effectively delegate and monitor other projects and tasks. Take ultimate responsibility for performance of the team and deliverables.
· Assure hardware developments are launched on schedule, at required levels of quality, at cost and meeting internal and customer performance requirements
· Understand business and supply chain strategy for hardware procurement and work with Offering Management and Integrated Supply Chain to support product/service roadmaps.
· Provide thought leadership with Offering Management and Sales by articulating clear value proposition
· Lead hardware development organization’s product roadmap in alignment with business functions
· Define and lead Value Engineering (VE) goals, project definition, resource needs and execution within the HPS development organization.
· Partner with Software leaders to ensure hardware needs are identified and integrated into HPS Technology program plans.
· Work with the Global Process Leader for Hardware, to set and deploy global best practices for Hardware development.
· Ensure all hardware development is done in coordination with the Global Architects to achieve integration and re-use with all solutions and products
· Ensure hardware development tools and laboratory resources meet development needs.
· Work with Technology Quality Assurance & Quality Test on the release of products
