This position supports Quality for the site, to meeting with the Honeywell, Customers' and Regulatory requirements for Quality, Reliability and Safety for assigned manufacturing site(s). Well-versed in laboratory management and all elements of Quality values and controls established in industry such as: Problem Solving, Process & Product Controls and Data-Based Decision Making.
Key Responsibilities
· Day to day operations of a cGMP compliant laboratory,
· Develops, enforces, improves, and expands the Quality Management Systems internally and externally with key partners per an established plan and schedule.
· Leads a group of technicians assigned to the Laboratory. Manages schedules, coverage, employee concerns, lab equipment & issues and employee payroll.
· Develops, validates, and documents laboratory methods with Sr Chemist, Quality Manager, Quality Engineers, and others
· Authors and reviews standard operating documentation with Sr Chemist, Quality Manager, Quality Engineers, and others
· Train laboratory personnel
· This position works closely with Quality Team members, Operations, Engineering, HSE, Product Stewardship and all other support teams.
· Ensures follow up for their/direct reports standard work and the use of quality tools and systems “Plan, Do, Check, Act” to meet established Goals and Objectives.
· Leads activities to eliminate internal and external quality defects, as assigned.
· Improves quality management and data collection systems.
· Facilitates continuous improvement via Kaizen Events, Six Sigma Projects, Quality Improvement Teams and Initiatives, PFMEA, Control Plans, and Work Instructions.
· Focus team energy on tangible value-added activities that extends the competitive position of the business.
· Support other tasks and assignments, as appropriate.
