This is an exciting time to join Sensing Guidance and Navigation Center Of Excellence engineering team as we develop new inertial products used on many versatile platforms varying from planes, trains, automobiles to satellites and launch vehicles.
You will lead engineering tasks as part of cross-functional team on new product development projects responsible for concept architecture, requirements definition, design, analysis, and test. The specifics of this role are focused on ensuring the hardware design, analysis and test of inertial sensors products over a wide range of operational environments for Commercial, Defense and Space customers, beat the project cost, schedule and technical goals.

Key Responsibilities
• Leading proposals and developing estimates for hardware development
• Develop Schedule and Milestones for hardware design tasks
• Execute project subtasks (architecture, requirement definition, circuit design, layout review, analysis, and test, etc.) by following established engineering methodologies for new hardware development
• Measuring project cost and schedule performance by using Earn Value Management
• Monitoring and helping project team members to meet project commitments
• Risk and Opportunity development and management
• Guide engineers, technicians, and associates to ensure project and product requirement compliance
• Consult with suppliers to ensure product and project compliance
• Clearly and concisely convey subtle or complex messages via presentations and in writing to a variety of audiences including leadership and external customers
• Lead the electrical portion of product certification for customer acceptance
• Perform specification reviews and development
• Develop and improve work practices
• Review process and product quality
• Collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams
• Lead customer discussions
• Mentor and coach junior level engineers
• Identify and execute cost, schedule, and technical efficiency improvements
• Travel within US and/ or internationally: 10%
