In this position, you will achieve successful on-site installation, servicing, and repair processes of complex equipment and systems without direct supervision. You will follow detailed work instructions and amend any outdated or incorrect instructions with help of Engineering teams. You will make improvements to training guides and documentation. You will achieve continuous improvement initiatives in the field to quickly fix any administrative difficulties relating to delivery and installation of proper equipment. You will train the customer on proper usage, troubleshooting, and basic repair procedures for complex equipment. You will represent Honeywell at industry conferences and provide technical presentations.
Responsibilities
· This position requires 100% travel
· Works under general supervision on duties and tasks that reflect substantial variety and complexity. Adhering to all safety procedures and policies.
· Ability to lift up to 50lbs, climb ladders, and work at heights up to 40ft.
· Ability to stand or walk on concrete or steel grating for an entire shift. Willing to work continuous 58-hour work weeks.
· Advanced conduit bending skills, including knowledge of formulas, and benders.
· Advanced device termination skills, including an understanding of controls and their function.
· Advanced wire pulling skills. Able to mount devices from layout drawing.
· Repairs or replaces worn or defective equipment/machinery.
· Modifies previously installed equipment/machinery to ensure compatibility with new units.
· Conducts investigative tests, repairs, and rework of existing equipment.
· Should possess advanced electrical troubleshooting skills.
· Advanced knowledge of electrical theory and NEC (NFPA70, NFPA70E and NFPA79).
· Supply own electrical hand tools per provided list below. Ability to operate power tools that will be supplied.
· Applies proficiency in skills as appropriate to the area of specialization.
· Demonstrates proven knowledge of standard concepts, practices, and procedures within the electrical trade.
· Documents all inspections, maintenance, and repair work, and failures.
· Reads drawings and completes accurate layout of conduit routing.
· May be asked to act as a lead on smaller projects or direct 4-6 employees on larger projects.
· Documents tasks and progress using Excel and/or Word.
· Communicates progress/issues to Supervision.
· Maintain housekeeping and general clean up duties throughout the site.
