We have an exciting opportunity for a Lead R&D Engineer/Scientist – Alkylation Technologies to join Honeywell UOP's Research and Development organization. This role will be responsible for developing our alkylation technology portfolio with the main accountability of leading the development program for our ISOALKY technology.
This is a senior level role where you will be responsible for providing technical expertise on a variety of projects and programs within your area. You will use your expert knowledge of engineering discipline and standards, processes and tools to complete and ensure compliance of various projects. You are the point of contact for external customers, and you may participate in development of new business opportunities and product lines. This role will ensure project deliverables are met, align resources and chart project path. The role will also have the opportunity to proactively engage and align with the Alkylation business team and support customer technical queries and meetings.
Key Responsibilities
• Lead and drive a cross-functional team of experts in various domains towards the goal of delivering a differentiated technology solution from ideation through commercialization.
• Lead engagement with technology partners and support commercialization and marketing efforts
• Develop and implement robust project plans to meet technology delivery commitments on schedule and within budget constraints.
• Lead pilot plant experimentation and apply model-based design of experiments (MBDOE) methodologies to accelerate technology delivery and identify innovation opportunities.
• Build awareness of the market, competition, and new developments. Contribute to technology strategy development to build a strong pipeline of solutions that will drive growth.
• Identify novel technology solutions and author invention disclosures to contribute to the innovation effort at Honeywell UOP.
• Proactively engage and align with the Alkylation business team and support customer technical queries and meetings
• Translate customer requirements into technical deliverables, and design technology offering an outstanding value proposition
