Summary of Duties:
- The Lead Software Engineer will be a key member of the Digital Engineering team at the Kansas City National Security Campus, focused on realizing the vision of a Digital Transformation at our site and coordinated with the other sites dedicated to our mission
- As a member of the Digital Engineering team, you will integrate with the multiple functions both on site at KCNSC, including Quality, Integrated Supply Chain and Information Technology
- In this role, you will help the nation achieve its mission of sustaining a secure and effective deterrent, by creating cross platform integrations that maintain design intent with the demands of manufacturing
- You will work in a collaborative research and development environment that prioritizes workplace flexibility and encourages people to learn, discover and explore new ways to identify solutions and overcome mission critical challenges.
- Performs design, coding, debugging, testing, and troubleshooting throughout the application development process
- Regularly offers solutions to significant technical problems
- Applies expertise in software engineering principles, technologies, methods, tools, and processes, to eliminate barriers to successful project completion

- Will mentor Senior to entry level software engineers
- Will interact with external customers in order to facilitate the completion of projects to customer specifications
- Identify and work on various manufacturing systems (ERP, MES, etc.) integration with Product Data Management system
- Build platforms for various reports using applications like Apex, Windchill Navigate, Java, Python, Mulesoft, Openshift
