The Senior Operations Maintenance Coordinator role is to provide leadership and support to the Critical Facilities Supervisor and Critical Facilities Manager to ensure continuity of the asset machine operation, achieve department objectives, and facilitate sound business decisions. This role is responsible for the maintenance activities required for maintaining, non-standard operational activities, and ensuring the reliability for the operations department in a Unionized production facility.
As a Senior Operations Maintenance Coordinator, you are the link between the Production, Capital, and Maintenance departments. You will be responsible for prioritizing work, managing backlogs, and planning/scheduling shutdowns, accept special assignments on major shutdowns, problem solving projects, and developing a culture where world-class safety and productivity are normalize.
Key Responsibilities
•Accountable for an accident-free and safe work environment by managing the department safety work order backlog and maintaining a zero quarterly backlog (within control).
•Coordinate scheduled shutdown and unscheduled maintenance lockout and tag out.
•Deliver operational excellence by coordinating activities between Production and Maintenance by leading the process which includes prioritizing daily work, planning, scheduled shutdowns, and managing maintenance backlogs, reduce break in work, and take the lead in LOA, safety, and audit items which need both Production and Maintenance follow-up.
•Keeping "planned work order" backlog according to guidelines; utilize backlog to schedule daily and weekly work list.
•Prioritizing and approving break-in or emergency work
•Prioritizing and Scheduling work order backlog
•Screening, approving, and managing all work orders for asset area; assuring quality of all work orders (coding accuracy, symptoms, accurately described).
•Serve as project originator for maintenance capital in asset area; write proper documentation and present need to business leaders as required
•Be a technical resource for solving chronic and repeat failures, with reliability engineers.
•Planning the installation, facilitate maintenance, and startup of equipment to minimize the upset of normal operations.
•Developing and maintaining detailed, structured on-the-job training manuals for all department tasks and jobs.
•Provide leadership, development, and training in a fast-paced, ever changing production environment and direct activities of hourly workforce as needed
•Prepare budget and monthly forecasts.
•Familiar with statistical process control and predictive reporting tools.
