Summary:
- The selected candidate will work the Electrical Design and Product Data Management (PDM) aspects on the Digital Product Realization team
- This position will collaborate with other partners to help document the end to end data flow, capability development and deployment of technologies in support of Digital Transformation
- Assists in the planning and execution of a broad range of design, technology, manufacturing, or quality assignments requiring extensive knowledge of advanced Electrical Design techniques and principles and their application to specific projects
- Provides expertise and counsel in areas of engineering definition requirements, specifically related to electrical drawing definition, supporting procedures and Computer Aided Design and Computer Aided Engineering Tools
- Represents management in meeting with customers, design agencies and suppliers on issues of departmental capabilities and new business solicitation
- Interact with design agencies, suppliers, and internal organizations to assist in resolving design development, production and acceptance issues
- Consults with engineering shop, inspection, and manufacturing personnel to verify reliability of design strategies
- Provides project leadership of technical and/or administrative product/process changes
- Determines equipment and process requirements, sets up pilots, performs tests/pilots, analyzes, and presents results, assists in resolution of technical gaps, and/or helps to establish design documentation required for implementation and adoption
- Recommends and implements process improvements to increase technical productivity and effectiveness within the organization
- Conducts assigned research or development and works on the most complex/difficult projects/tasks
- Serves as a technical advisor to other designers and may direct their work or lead projects
- Work is typically a critical part of a team effort and requires independence
