Sr Director New Product Introduction (NPI) Engineering, Integrated Supply Chain (ISC) Engineering, Safety & Productivity Solutions (SPS)
You are a tenacious
problem solver. You define, own, and
execute standard work across all manufacturing factories to achieve successful
New Product Introductions. You lead dedicated
engineering teams that span across multiple business enterprises within Safety
and Productivity Solutions (SPS). You interface
with Product Development and Operations teams from the onset of Product
Definition to establish design for manufacturing (DFM), design for automation
(DFA), value stream design (VSM), equipment specification and qualification
(FAT/SAT), and process validation (IQ/OQ/PQ).
You are accountable for achieving defined and measurable Manufacturing
Readiness Levels (MRL) as your teams progress in launch maturity. You own the line and factory design to launch
products and/or transition pilot lines within world class manufacturing
operations. You are measured by
achieving MRL criteria, target cost of goods sold (COGS), and release to production
timelines.

Key Responsibilities
Collaborate and contribute to how and where new products are launched within ISC Manufacturing Strategy Framework.
- Engage and partner with Product Development teams starting at High Level Design (HLD) phases of NPI programs.
Collaborate on Design Specifications to provide ISC inputs on requirement trade-offs prior to design freeze.
- Scope ISC Engineering effort to holistically capture full development costs to launch products in support of business case and resource planning.
- Own consistent and scalable NPI Standard Work across ISC Engineering and Operations within the Product Development Lifecycle.
Define standards and measurement criteria for DFM, DFA, and own PFMEA with mitigation controls.
- Lead value stream design, lean workflow design, technology selection, and process validation. Define labor and equipment standards to achieve COGS targets.
Define measurable MRL criteria for each stage and apply your technical expertise to help teams problem solve to achieve milestones. Ensure process simplification, robustness, and independence on institutional knowledge or expertise.
- Institute visual management for risk identification, prioritization, and burn-down.
Engage equipment suppliers to specify and sign-off on requirements, technology & systems integration, life-safety compliance, contracts, commissioning, service and support.
