This position leads the Geismar site Quality Team, including local manufacturing and all global manufacturing, tollers, support teams and distribution centers. Position ensures compliance to internal process/product specifications, customer specifications and Honeywell policies. This position defines, deploys, and assess effective implementation of ISO-9000:2015 and IATF16494:2016 Quality Management Systems. The ideal candidate is well-versed in all elements of Quality, such as: Problem Solving, Process & Product Controls, Measurement Systems, Lean Manufacturing, and varied quality concepts in industries. The candidate must make data-based decisions using industry experience.

 Key Responsibilities

Responsibilities include but not limited to:

•        Senior Quality Manager is responsible for the overall Quality of products of the Geismar plant and its associated support sites, and to support these requirements for other HON plants in other regions as required.

•        Manages, improves, and expands the Quality Management Systems internally and externally with key suppliers/tollers per an established plan and schedule. Includes adherence to Automotive Customer Specific Requirements where applicable.

•        Leads a group of engineers and technicians assigned to the Quality Organization.

•        Develops and executes measurement systems and manages HON laboratory operations.  

•        Works closely with the AM/PMT Quality Organization, Site Operations, Site Engineering, and all associated support teams.

•        Ensures follow up for the manager’s and direct reports standard work and the use of quality tools and systems “Plan, Do, Check, Act” to meet established Goals and Objectives.

•        Monitors, complies, reports, communicates, and escalates requirements for the internal audit program and work close with key internal, Customer and Supplier stakeholders. Communicate and escalate key issues that are out of standard in a timely manner.

•        Maintains Site Quality Management and Regulatory Certifications and increase customer achievements through clear objectives and follow up.

•        Takes ownership for SCARs, Customer corrective actions via the 8D tool, and close open customer cases per agreed time schedules. Assists other departments in managing First Pass Quality and internal process rejections.

•        Leads activities with department managers to eliminate internal and external quality defects.

•        Improves quality management and data collection systems.

•        Ensures the plant progresses to use more quality tools such as SPC, SQC and proactive tools to maintain process control.

•        Manages continuous improvement via Kaizen Events, Six Sigma Projects, Honeywell Accelerator, Quality Improvement Teams, and Initiatives, PFMEA, Control Plans, and Work Instructions.

•        Be an organizational leader championing Safety, Quality, Delivery, and Cost Management.

•        Actively involved in Annual Operating Plan (AOP), Strategic Plan (STRAP), Monthly Operating Review (MOR), Sales, Inventory, and Operations Plan (SIOP), and Management Resource.

 •       Reviewing (MRR) activities for the Quality function.
