Join a team that designs, develops and integrates highly complex systems for space within Honeywell Aerospace. As the Senior Satellite Thermal/Structural Engineer, you will be leading the team tasked with ensuring the satellite’s Attitude Orbit and Control System (AOCS) System meets the mission requirements. The AOCS consists of vehicle sensors (e.g., Star Trackers, Sun Sensors, Rate Gyros, Magnetometers, GPS, etc.) On-Board Computers, actuators (e.g., Reaction Wheel Assemblies, Torque Rods, etc.).
JOB ACTIVITIES
- Complete thermal models AOCSs
- Perform thermal analyses to ensure temperatures of all components stay within their safe operating range
- Complete a structural models of the AOCSs
- Perform modal, acoustic, random, and sine analyses
- Perform mechanical worst-case structural and thermal analyses for AOCSs
- Documenting thermal and structural analyses and submit as customer deliverable item
- Present technical information to the customer during TIMs, PDRs, and CDRs
