The Financial Systems Analyst will be a key player in supporting our firm wide legal financial system. Responsibilities include support of technology implementations and/or upgrades, database design and reporting, ensuring data integrity, performing month end processing, troubleshooting financial system application and operating system issues, and vendor management.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Engage in technology projects, including software implementations and/or upgrades aimed at shaping or modifying business processes.
- Design and report on databases for use in analyzing financial information, operating records, and other Firm data.
- Ensure accurate data gathering and integrity across various Firm data sources; Work with various areas in the Finance Department, and other areas of the Firm, to aid in streamlining processes regarding financial information gathering and delivery; Probe inconsistencies in information and recommend solutions as appropriate.
- Perform Month End processing and other system administrative duties that may require working outside normal business hours.
- Offer secondary support to the IT help desk, specializing in addressing financial application and operating system-specific problems.
- Create and manage vendor support call tickets for financial applications.
- Assist with various special projects and analyses as required.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Minimum of 3-5 years of relevant technical and/or functional analytic experience with Accounting and Billing platforms; prior exposure to legal or professional service environment preferred (e.g., Aderant Expert, Expert Billing, Client Matter Intake, Chrome River, and Iridium)
- Bachelors’ degree from a four-year college or university preferred.
- Advanced excel skills (including writing macros), SQL skills. Proficient in other Microsoft Suite of products (PowerPoint, Word) and ability to learn other software programs used by the department.
- Knowledge of data development tools (SSMS, SSRS, Visual Studio), BI tools, Power Apps, and languages (T-SQL, XML, PowerShell), a plus.
- Strong analytic, organizational, and problem-solving abilities.
- Effective interpersonal and teamwork skills with ability to communicate to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Proven ability to work in a fast-paced environment where creative thinking, efficiency, autonomy, and initiative are required.
- Ability to multitask while maintaining a high regard for the details and client service. Adaptability and positivity are key qualities to be successful in this role.
Pay Range and Compensation Package
Honigman provides a generous total compensation package, which includes comprehensive health and well-being benefits, as well as 401k and profit sharing. The anticipated annual pay range for this role is $95,000 to $120,000. The actual offered pay rate will be determined based on various factors, including qualifications, experience, geographic location, education, external market data, and internal equity considerations.
