What are the responsibilities and job description for the Retail Sales Associate, Entry-Level position at Honolulu Cookie Company?
SUMMARY: Our Retail Sales Associates provide customer service, product information and sales support to our customers and visitors to our stores across Waikiki and Ala Moana and we are hiring for all stores. Our Retail Sales Associates are greeters, cashiers and customer advisors, and are responsible for stocking the shelves, managing the inventory as well as ensuring the cleanliness of the store.
We are seeking Full (40 hours) and Part-time (20-32 hours) applicants at this time; both are eligible for company paid medical and dental life insurance for the employee (additional charge for family members) and time-off benefits as well as amazing perks like employee discounts for our products and partner companies.
RESPONSIBILIES
- Foster a sense of teamwork and collaboration among team members by building an employee culture that is aligned with company values and operating principles
- Ensure all employees are treated consistently, fairly, ethically, and respectfully
- Meet and exceed the company’s service standards and sales goals on a consistent basis
- Acquire the product knowledge information provided by the company to enhance the customer’s shopping experience
- Spend time on the selling floor working with customers to assist them with their product selections by providing through product knowledge information
- Create additional sales opportunities by promoting and suggesting other appropriate items
- Consistently follow and abide by the company’s established register and cash handling policies and procedures
- Participate with inventory management functions to include: the receiving procedures, transfer, pricing procedures, product counts and physical inventories as required
- Actively participate and support the company’s safety and security standards at all times
- Assist in meeting the company’s brand image and housekeeping standards
- Attend and participate in store meetings, company training sessions as required furthering the development of skills to meet the company’s objectives
- Other duties as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS
- Able to represent the company brand image and share aloha to all customers, business partners, and co-workers at all levels throughout the company
- Retail or hospitality sales experience preferred
- Effective customer and people interaction abilities
- Able to accurately count money
- Able to lift and/or move up to 25 lbs
