Sourcing and Outreach Coordinator
General Duties : This position manages talent acquisition, sourcing and outreach activities and initiatives for City and County of Honolulu departments based on recruitment priorities; develops and implements hiring strategies for hard-to-fill positions and industry-specific positions; coordinates hiring activities and initiatives across departments for common class positions; drives implementation of plans working closely with Departments; performs simple to moderate sourcing and outreach-related assignments.
Specific Duties :
Conducts activities, coordinates and executes projects and programs to effectively source and fill vacant positions.Collaborate with City departments, as may be assigned, to fill their vacancies while adhering to applicable civil service rules, laws, policies, and procedures. This work includes providing simple guidance to departments on the hiring and recruitment process, reviewing data to prepare sourcing plans for various job classes, addressing difficult-to-fill positions, and working closely with the Recruitment Branch.Assist departments, as may be assigned, with their prioritized list of vacancies and the timing of recruitments to fill positions in a timely manner.Provide simple guidance to the general public on the recruitment and / or hiring process.Keep departments focused on hiring process tasks, including ensuring departments have their interview instrument ready and interview applicants within two weeks of receiving the list of eligible candidates. Follow up with department personnel offices to make sure NeoGov reports of action are updated in the hiring process and that all other processes are finalized.Represent the City at various job fairs or other sourcing or outreach-related events to promote career opportunities. Create marketing materials and promotional items to attract job seekers.Coordinate hiring between and across City Departments for positions that have common classes or for hard-to-fill positions.Develop and execute strategic talent acquisition and outreach plans for positions, including but not limited to hard-to-fill and industry-specific positions.Work collaboratively with the Employment and Personnel Services (EPS) Division on opening of requisitions on NeoGov, job descriptions, providing feedback on industry trends in order to improve hiring rates and related responsibilities in order to meet goals and objectives of the Department in hiring.Build relationships with community stakeholders and partners that are critical to finding qualified candidates.Give talks and provide information on City career and employment opportunities before professional, trade, school and community groups.Support social media efforts of the City to attract, source and fill positions.Use innovation, technology and novel methods and tools to help promote the City and its brand to attract qualified job seekers and to fill positions.Perform other related duties as necessary.J-18808-Ljbffr
