What are the responsibilities and job description for the Tool Room Machinist position at Honor Plastics & Molding?
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Knowledge of General machining equipment like Lathe, VMC, and CNC
- Cleaning and performing preventative maintenance on molds before and after production.
- Basic knowledge of Injection molding and mold maintenance
- Tagging and placing molds in assigned locations/ assigning molds to new locations.
- Assisting tool room manager in mold change overs according to configurations on work orders.
- Maintaining/assigning fixture locations.
- Logging in incoming molds and assigning them a mold number according to our mold log.
- Change over Troubleshooting Mold
- Assisting the production floor with special manufacturing projects
- Perform any other assignments given by the Tool Room Supervisor/ VP of Sales and Operations.
Required Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:
· High school diploma or equivalent qualification.
· Knowledge of an injection molding plant.
· Basic knowledge of tooling parts and supplies.
· Minimum of 1-2 years of experience repairing injection molding machinery and associated auxiliary equipment.
· Possess a high degree of attention to detail and organizational skills.
· Basic math skills and basic understanding of the English language.
