We are seeking a motivated Assistant Project Manager to join our team.
Job Responsibilities
- Assist the Project Manager in planning, organizing, and managing construction projects from initiation to completion
- Coordinate with architects, engineers, and contractors to ensure project specifications are met
- Prepare and maintain project documentation, including contracts, schedules, budgets, and reports
- Monitor project progress and update schedules to ensure timely completion
- Identify potential project risks and assist in developing mitigation strategies
- Assist in managing project budgets, including tracking expenses and ensuring cost control
- Conduct site visits to monitor construction activities and ensure compliance with safety regulations and quality standards
- Facilitate communication between project stakeholders, including clients, subcontractors, and team members
- Assist in the negotiation and procurement of materials and subcontractor services
- Support in the preparation of bid proposals and project estimates
- Ensure adherence to all relevant legal and regulatory requirements
- Assist in resolving any issues or conflicts that arise during the construction process
- Maintain project records and files for easy retrieval and future reference
- Participate in project meetings and provide updates on project status and challenges
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of project management processes and practices
Job Requirements
Work Environment
Work environment includes office machines, electronics and filing systems. Frequent lifting materials weighing up to 50 pounds. Constant sitting, typing, and reaching for long periods of time. Must have good hand / eye coordination. Required to sit at a computer for several hours at a time. This position also requires working in various construction job sites that can expose you to extreme weather conditions, such as high heat and humidity, cold, ice, snow, and rain. The job sites can also be loud due to the noise level from moving mechanical parts. Additionally, you may be required to perform strenuous physical labor under adverse field conditions, lift heavy objects, and walk or stand for long periods.
Physical Demands
The job requires you to have excellent stamina and physical strength to perform the essential functions of the job, including lifting, pushing, pulling, or carrying heavy objects. You will also need good manual dexterity and multi-limb coordination to operate machinery and perform tasks effectively. The job requires you to work on uneven, steep, slippery, wet, muddy, and inconsistent ground, and you must be able to quickly move your arms and legs.
