The Configuration Team Supervisor will oversee a team responsible for provisioning network and point-of-sale devices, managing hardware replacement requests for faulty hardware, and handling RMA processes. This role requires strong leadership skills, technical expertise, ability to write standard operating procedure, and the capability to streamline operations to meet company goals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage a team of approximately 8 technicians.
- Review project tickets to create tasks priorities for team.
- Closely monitor that standard operating procedures are being followed update as project scopes change.
- Ensure quality assurance measures are in place and feedback is provided to ensure flawless outputs.
- Set daily/weekly tasks for each technician to most efficiently use available labor hours to meet deadlines.
- Oversee the provisioning of network and point-of-sale devices, ensuring timely and accurate deployment.
- Manage requests for replacement servers and switches, ensuring minimal downtime and quick replacements.
- Coordinate and manage the RMA/warranty process, ensuring defective hardware is returned and replaced efficiently.
- Develop, document, and implement standard operating procedures for device provisioning, spare management, and RMA processes.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align operations with company objectives.
- Monitor team performance, provide training and development opportunities, and conduct regular performance reviews.
- Maintain accurate records of device inventories, spare parts, and RMA transactions.
- Stay updated on industry trends and advancements in IT and hardware management.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in an IT related field or 3 years of experience in an IT hardware imaging/configuration position.
- Proven experience in managing technical teams, preferably in IoT or hardware operations.
- Strong understanding of IoT device provisioning, server and switch management, and RMA processes.
- Excellent leadership and team management skills.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities.
- Proficiency in using inventory and asset management software.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.
