JOB DESCRIPTION:
Under the general supervision of the Hospitality Manager (HM), the Food Service Coordinator (FSC) will assist with coordinating the day-to-day activities of the kitchen which involves assuring that quality nutritional meals are provided on a daily basis and that the department is maintained in a clean, safe and sanitary manner. This position is very active and requires standing, walking, bending, kneeling and stooping all day. The employee must frequently lift or move items weighing over 20 pounds. This position is in a human service Agency that is open 24/7, 365 days a year. Holiday, evening and weekend shifts are required as scheduled.
QUALIFICATIONS FOR THE POSITION:

1. High School Diploma or GED; Culinary School Certificate or Degree a Plus
2. Experience in high volume food production, institutional food service or catering.
3. Ability to relate to and work with ill, disabled, elderly, emotionally upset and at times hostile people within the facility.
4. Detail oriented and have excellent organizational, communication and interpersonal skills (friendly, courteous, helpful, ability to work as part of a team)
5. Ability to function independently and have flexibility, personal integrity and the ability to work with residents, staff and support agencies.
6. Ability to use MS Word, Excel, email.
7. Must have and maintain a valid NYS driver’s license.
8. Must be ServeSafe Certified
9. TB Test within 30 of hire, and then annually.
