Schedule : Monday through Friday 8 : 00AM-5 : 00 PM; with some flexibility.
Report to Research Scientist
Must be able to work 100% onsite.
The Laboratory Technician will be performing routine organic synthesis, application testing, and analytical testing in support of the Thermosets R&D team. With oversight, application testing will include methods such as gel times, film application, dry time profiles, weathering testing, and cured film assessments.
We are looking for a person with the ability to analyse compounds and understand and effectively communicate chemical properties. Via routine / procedural analytical work, you will support the development of new products / technologies to meet the commercial product requirements as defined by category team leads.
Support and assist the technical team via routine analytical techniques and work to execute and provide continuity for day-to-day business requirements. With significant supervision, support key scale-up projects via lab reactions and pilot reactions. Ability to take notes and communicate results effectively.
Have basic knowledge of wet chemistry and experience working in a laboratory setting.
Must have bachelor's degree in chemistry or science related field.
Must have basic knowledge of lab experience and general chemistry.
