Logistics Specialist

A multifunctional position that requires advanced knowledge of department tasks for Material Handlers.

Key Responsibilities:

• Work in a team-oriented atmosphere with a continuously developing team.
• Collaborate with colleagues to achieve common goals and demonstrate a cooperative spirit.
• Support Process Safety programs through participation in compliance audits and hazard/risk assessment activities.
• Participate in process safety-related incident investigations and complete assigned action items in a timely manner.

Minimum Qualifications:

• High School Diploma
• Experience in the operation of powered industrial equipment, specifically forklifts and yard tractors.

Major Responsibilities:

• Loading and off-loading packaged materials
• Staging materials to support production
• Operating powered industrial equipment such as forklifts and yard tractors
• Familiarity with material handling safety/hygiene issues
• Maintain assigned inspections and housekeeping duties

Physical Requirements:

• Occasional lifting, bending, and twisting of various range and motion requiring physical exertion when handling materials, drums, or equipment
• Ability to lift 55 pounds
• Ability to stand and walk in work environment majority of time
• Frequent use of stairs required
