The Automotive Build Technician I at HonorVet Technologies is responsible for building, modifying, adjusting, and calibrating installed devices. This role also involves collaborating with customers to identify required locations for sensor installation according to IRL.
Responsibilities:
- Build and install low voltage automotive and instrumentation wiring harnesses, auxiliary battery, and electrical systems.
- Install, adjust, and calibrate sensors, shunts, fiber optics, accelerometers, and data acquisition systems.
- Collaborate with customers, fabricators, and mechanics to identify required locations for sensor installation.
- Assist in performing complete functional inspection and prove-out of instrumentation according to IQA.
- Diagnose faulty low voltage automotive and instrumentation wiring systems and repair.
- Work with electronic functional and measurement tools, such as power supplies and function generators.
- Maintain records by entering notes into service repair requests.
- Keep shop equipment operating by following operating instructions and troubleshooting breakdowns.
- Participate in daily shop organization and clean-up.
