Description :
The Project Manager is responsible for cost, quality, and timing for Propulsion Systems Testing and Analysis capital investment projects.
The Project Manager will prepare management level status reports, manage risk, resolve program issues, track and control project spending.
Responsibilities Include but not limited to :
Lead a cross functional team for the successful execution of Propulsion Systems Testing and Analysis projects
Assess and manage the interdependencies of the project
Chair regular project status meetings
Manage project risks
Monitor and regularly provide management both verbal and written updates of the budget and timing status, risks, and issues of the project as appropriate
Work closely with the project teams to remove roadblocks, provide guidance on issues, and develop recovery plans
Upon completion of projects, ensure any lessons learned are reviewed / captured in order to improve future project execution
Escalate issues to management as needed
Ensure that all environmental, health, and safety requirements are met
Requirements :
Bachelor of Science in Engineering or related degree
3 years of experience in project / program management with exceptional interpersonal skills
Experienced with MS Office applications including project
Intermediate knowledge of MS Project
Excellent verbal and written communication and organizational skills
Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
Excellent time management skills with the ability to meet deadlines
Exceptional interpersonal skills and the ability to manage competing priorities
Preferred Qualifications :
3 years experience managing large / complex projects
Program Management Professional (PMP) certification or other training equivalent
Experience working with product testing in laboratory or manufacturing environments
Experience with the planning and execution of large capital improvement projects
