Sanitation Supervisor
Duration : 12 Months contract with possibility of extension or FTE
Location : Omaha NE 68127
Work hours : M-F 2 : 00 PM - 11 : 00 PM
Job Description :
Position Description :
Supervise staff of 17 sanitation employees performing cleaning, housekeeping and adverse event cleaning around the plant.
Responsible for supervising the 2nd Shift sanitation crew and responding to adverse events.
Other duties include environmental swabbing, inspecting the facility for sanitation concerns, taking corrective action for pest control activity, supporting operations as needed.
Assist in preparing for all plant clean-ups.
Some weekend work is required.
Skills Required :
Ability to effectively supervise, instruct and follow up with staff on cleaning tasks.
Admin duties require working with computer and MS Office.
Attention to detail is needed to inspect and coach staff on expected level of cleanliness.
Ability to walk up multiple flights of stairs, climb ladders, and stand for extended periods of time.
Basic computer skills.
Knowledge of how to properly use sanitation chemicals.
Experience Required :
Operations Management and / or Sanitation Management and / or Janitorial Management experience.
Previous experience supervising a sanitation crew in a food plant.
Experience Preferred :
Experience in a union environment is preferred.
Pest control experience a plus.
Education Required :
High School / GED - College is a plus
Additional Information :
Slip resistant and safety toe shoes are required and not provided.
All other PPE will be provided.
The work schedule is Monday through Friday from 2 : 00 PM to 11 : 00 PM, with every 3rd weekend requiring 13-hour shifts.
