Job Overview:
The Hood Canal School District is seeking a Student Supervisor to ensure the safety and well-being of students in various settings. As a key member of our team, you will perform supportive tasks outside of student instruction and manage student behavior.
Essential Functions:
- Greet visitors, parents, students, and staff in a welcoming manner.
- Supervise students in different environments, including classrooms, hallways, playgrounds, and lunch rooms.
- Monitor and mediate student disputes, maintaining order and determining appropriate redirection according to district policy.
- Ensure students follow rules and expectations in all areas of the building and grounds.
- Assist with setting up the cafeteria for meal services, cleaning up spills, and dismissing students to recess.
- Perform supportive tasks for classroom teachers, such as correcting daily work and recording grades.
Mimimum Qualifications:
- Be at least 18 years old.
- High School Diploma or Equivalent.
- Valid Washington State Driver's License.
- Criminal Justice/Fingerprint Clearance.
- Preferred previous experience in student supervision, working with diverse populations of students.
