Job Summary:
The Hood Canal School District is seeking a School Safety Coordinator to supervise students and ensure their safety and well-being in various settings. This role involves performing supportive tasks outside of student instruction and managing student behavior.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Supervise students in different environments, including classrooms, hallways, and playgrounds.
- Monitor and mediate student disputes, maintaining order and determining appropriate redirection according to district policy.
- Assist with setting up the cafeteria for meal services and cleaning up spills.
- Perform supportive tasks for classroom teachers, such as correcting daily work and recording grades.
Qualifications:
- Be at least 18 years old.
- High School Diploma or Equivalent.
- Valid Washington State Driver's License.
- Criminal Justice/Fingerprint Clearance.
- Previous experience in student supervision, working with diverse populations of students (preferred).
