Are you a detail-oriented problem solver with a knack for numbers?
As an Estimator, you'll play a crucial role in our success by accurately assessing project costs and timelines for Hood Container Corporation's Corrugated Converting manufacturing plant in Lebanon, TN. You'll work closely with sales, customer service, and operations to generate quotes for boxes to help us win new customers! This position is part of our customer service team and reports to the Customer Service Manager.
What you'll do:
- Analyze projects: Break down complex projects into manageable components.
- Calculate costs: Determine labor, material, and equipment costs.
- Prepare estimates: Develop detailed estimates for clients.
- Collaborate with teams: Work closely with engineers, project managers, and vendors.
- Negotiate contracts: Secure the best deals for the company.
What you'll need:
- Three or more years experience in estimating, customer service, accounting or similar field
- Bachelor's degree in accounting or related field preferred
- Experience in the corrugated or comparable packaging industry preferred
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Outlook, Excel, & Word
