Hood Container Corporation is one of the fastest growing corrugated box manufacturers in the U.S. We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented General Accountant to join our growing team. In this role, you will play a key part in ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of our financial operations. This is a hands-on position that requires a proactive and results-driven individual who thrives in a fast-paced environment.
This position will complete training & onboarding at our corporate office in Atlanta and after training may be eligible to move to a hybrid work schedule.
Key Responsibilities :
- Non-Confidential Corp AP : Manage and process accounts payable transactions for our corporate entities.
- Streamline Workflows : Lead the transition of IT and other departments to DocLink's workflow system, improving efficiency and accuracy.
- Check Writing : Oversee the check writing process for all company locations.
- Sales and Use Tax : Run reports, conduct thorough reviews, and ensure timely and accurate tax filings.
- Reconciliations : Perform regular reconciliations to maintain accurate financial records.
- Fixed Asset Support : Assist with fixed asset management activities.
- Linksquare Maintenance & Audit : Maintain and audit the Linksquare system.
- Ad-hoc Projects : Contribute to various projects, such as audit assistance, W9 preparation, and internal audits.
