An experienced 2nd shift Production Control Lead for our Allentown, PA plant. This position will have overall first level responsibility for the efficient and correct operation of a packing or assembly line and assist with the oversight of Line Coordinators and forklift drivers. This position will report to the Production Supervisor
FLSA STATUS: Non-Exempt How you will contribute:
- Responsible for the efficient and correct set-up of assembly or packing line. Ensuring an efficient line transition, when necessary.
- Responsible for the quality of the finished product.
- Responsible for following all procedures and work instructions pertaining to production.
- Ensure full understanding of new production. Be the first point of contact on the floor for new display information.
- Ensure adequate instructions are given to enable contract workers to perform specific job requirements.
- Perform the necessary paperwork and reports for the line, recording data where necessary in appropriate systems.
- Ensure production schedule is met and production is complete in full.
- Promptly report problems, concerns, or out-of-standard conditions to immediate supervisor.
- Work with supply to insure the uninterrupted supply of raw materials.
- Work with the shipping department to insure the prompt removal of finished product.
- Conduct warehouse investigations as necessary to locate missing pallets/cases.
- Assist with training of production associates and line coordinators.
- Assist with directing work activity for line coordinators.
- Communicate all production problems, delays, changes, etc. to Scheduler.
- Enforce and follow all safety and GMP rules.
- Be involved with safety incident investigations.
- Other duties as assigned.

- High School diploma or G.E.D.
- 2 years in a lead or supervisor role.
- Experience with shipping and receiving
- Effectively communicate instructions and requirements.
- Demonstrate initiative and effectiveness in dealing with out-of-the-ordinary situations which may arise in the course of the job.
- Work overtime or odd shifts as necessary to meet production requirements.
