Purchasing Specialist - Manufacturing Plant

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Purchasing Specialist to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for sourcing, negotiating, and procuring materials and supplies essential to our corrugated operations. This is a fantastic opportunity to play a key role in driving efficiency and cost-effectiveness within a dynamic manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Source and procure strategic materials, including ink, top sheets & label, pallets, transportation and other critical materials.
• Negotiate favorable pricing and delivery terms with suppliers.
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with suppliers to ensure timely delivery and quality of materials.
• Analyze market trends and identify potential cost-saving opportunities.
• Monitor inventory levels and place orders to optimize stock levels.
• Process purchase orders and ensure accurate documentation.
• Resolve any issues or discrepancies with suppliers (SCAR process).
• Collaborate with other departments to ensure smooth production operations.
  
  

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, Business Administration, or related field.
• 2 years of experience in purchasing or procurement, preferably in the manufacturing industry.
• Strong negotiation and communication skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
• Experience with purchasing software (ERP systems, procurement platforms).
• Knowledge of the corrugated industry and supply chain is preferred.
