This role is responsible for maintaining effective quality procedures and complying with all local, state, and federal safety standards.
How You Will Contribute
- Respect and adhere to the Company's confidentiality policy.
- Observe and enforce all Company policies and procedures.
- Assist the Regional Quality Manager in the training, supervision, evaluation, and development of QA personnel.
- Prepare and ship samples for customers.
- Accurately maintain all quality records.
- Assist with internal and external quality audits.
- Ensure the completion of all QA check sheets, production records, OTC reconciliations, and QA reject sheets daily.
- Assist the Regional Quality Manager in writing and implementing quality procedures.
- Ensure the timely removal of rejects.
- Oversee the formatting, printing, and distribution of labels/UPCs and maintenance of printing equipment.
- Maintain proper label control and issue to production lines daily.
- Change incorrect lot codes due to data entry errors.
- Review weekly reject reports for accuracy and send them to customers. Follow-up is needed to ensure systems are updated.
- Assist with the improvement in the move to finished goods process and production inventory flow.
- Supervise the proper execution of job packets.
- Assist with production-related quality issues.
- Supervise end-of-day counts with QA/Data Entry.
- Assist with all physical inventories.
- Perform all tasks assigned by the supervisor.
- Coordinate visits with customers to review quality complaints and to ensure that customer needs are being met.
- Strong interpersonal communication.
- Excellent analytical skills and independent decision-making.
- SAP and Microsoft Office experience preferred.
- Ability to multi-task and work well under deadlines.
- Effectively communicate instructions and requirements.
- Work overtime or odd shifts as necessary to meet production requirements.
- Maintain an exceptional level of attendance and punctuality.
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus.
- Must be able to work in high temperature & humidity conditions while wearing proper PPE including, but not limited to, hearing protection, steel toe shoes, and safety glasses.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
- Willing and able to work up to 12-hour shifts.
- Understanding GMPs and Food Safety Plans.
- 2 plus years in a quality lead role
- Two- or four-year college degree preferred.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and ERP Systems.
- Possess the skills necessary to perform reading, writing, and mathematics to maintain the required production reports and plan balanced workloads.
- Knowledege of Amtech is a plus
- Must be able to lift up to 50lbs
