Hood Container is searching for an experienced Inventory Re-coup Specialist to work at our Allentown, PA Packaging Services plant. This position will be responsible for controlling the process for minimizing loss by removing and isolating cases of damaged goods from general inventory and then carefully inspecting and sorting them according to salvage guidelines. Strong organizational, teamwork, and self-starter skills will lead you to success in this role.

Day in the life :
- Manage the collection and isolation of damaged goods in the recoup area, and inspect related documents.
- Conduct product quality inspections, review the necessary tracking and paperwork, and report any concerns to the QA Technician as needed.
- Ensure the proper handling of returned / damaged products, and update the system accordingly.
- Sort products to determine which can be donated and which need to be destroyed, following standard operating procedures.
- Prepare products that are in good condition to be returned to inventory.
- Ensure understanding of and adherence to customer requirements, government regulations, and company standards and procedures.
- Support the production floor when needed or assigned by the supervisor, which may include working on the production line.
- Alert management to potential safety problems or violations.
- Experience with forklifts (stand-up preferred) is required.
