The primary purpose of the Maintenance Mechanic position is to maintain and repair mobile equipment to ensure safe and efficient operation within a manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities
- Perform routine, emergency, and preventative maintenance on a wide variety of mobile equipment. (Forklifts, Cranes, Man lifts, Front End Loaders, company owned vehicles, etc.)
- Perform skilled mechanical work, troubleshooting, and safety inspections on all mobile equipment.
- Interpret manufacturer's technical manuals to perform the necessary maintenance and repairs needed.
- Troubleshoot problems to include brakes, electrical, mechanical, cooling systems (HVAC) and hydraulic systems, detect imperfections, potential problems, safety issues and malfunctions using the appropriate tools.
- Selecting and complying with technical manuals, illustrations, specifications, diagrams, schematics, and similar guides to make repairs and modifications according to specifications and procedures.
- Use all proper and necessary tools to safely repair and maintain production/manufacturing equipment.
- Ability to work on gas and diesel systems.
- Service all mobile equipment as needed, adjust equipment, repair or replace broken or defective parts and request replacement parts for major repairs.
- Clean, lubricate and perform other routine maintenance work on equipment.
- Maintain an organized and neat work area.
- Competent to complete service documents and logs for preventive maintenance tasks.
- Ability to follow instructions and work independently.
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work in a solid team environment.
- Ability to establish effective working relationships with operators and supervisors.

- Lifting and carrying: Regularly lifting and carrying parts and tools weighing up to 40 pounds, with occasional need to lift heavier items with assistance.
- Mobility: Frequent bending, crouching, crawling, climbing, and reaching into tight spaces to access components.
- Standing and walking: Spending long periods standing and walking around the work area.
- Hand dexterity: Precise hand movements to use tools and manipulate small parts.
- Endurance: Ability to sustain physical activity for extended periods of time.
- Work environment: Mobile mechanics often work outdoors in varying weather conditions, potentially exposed to dirt, grease, dust, and noise
- 2 years of experience as a mechanic with demonstrated ability to perform the key responsibilities of this position.
- Excellent mechanical aptitude.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills.
- Willing and able to work any shift, holidays, weekends, and overtime as needed.
- Willing and able to work in a hot, cold, noisy, industrial environment.
- High school diploma or GED, and technical certifications.
- Experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Experience operating mobile equipment.
